In-House Maintenance Electrician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our in‑house team, delivering high‑quality electrical repairs, testing and refurbishments across local residential properties. The role offers a stable, full‑time position with a competitive salary and a range of benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair single‑ and three‑phase electrical systems, including electric showers and immersion elements.
• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR), Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and issue Electrical Installation/Minor Works certificates.
• Work to BS 7671 (Part P) standards, reporting urgent health‑and‑safety defects to the Qualifying Supervisor.
• Log jobs digitally via mobile/PDA, manage van stock and ensure accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Qualifications: C&G 2330 (or equivalent) and C&G 2382 (18th Edition).
• Full UK driver’s licence.
• Proven experience in domestic fault‑finding, repairs and customer‑facing service.
• Willingness to join an emergency out‑of‑hours rota.
• Comfortable using smartphone/PDA applications for daily workflows.

Required skills

• Single‑phase and three‑phase system troubleshooting.
• Electric shower and immersion element replacement.
• EICR and PAT testing.
• Issuing Electrical Installation/Minor Works certificates.
• Digital job logging and stock management via mobile devices.
