Inclusive Learning Support Assistant (Crawley)

About the role

We are seeking an Inclusive Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist school in Crawley. You will work directly with pupils who have complex learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop independence. This full‑time, term‑time position offers a supportive environment for anyone looking to start or progress a career in specialist education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support for pupils with additional needs.
• Assist small groups with targeted learning interventions.
• Help pupils engage with the curriculum and maintain focus.
• Promote independence, communication and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff and therapists to create a safe, structured learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children or young people in education, care, youth work or similar settings.
• Confidence working with pupils who have additional needs or challenging behaviour (desirable).
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Calm, consistent and supportive approach.
• Positive, patient and resilient attitude.
