Income Assistant (Temporary, 3‑Month Contract)

About the role

This temporary position supports the Income and Credit Control team of a well‑regarded education institute in North West London. You will ensure accurate processing of income, perform reconciliations and provide high‑quality service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Record all income received across multiple payment channels.
• Complete daily reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Process debit and credit card transactions and liaise with payment service providers.
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and control‑account checks.
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with internal procedures and audit requirements.
• Support refund processing while complying with financial policies and AML regulations.
• Manage shared finance inboxes, responding to queries professionally.
• Perform data validation checks to ensure financial information integrity.
• Contribute to month‑end and year‑end financial processes.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement activities within the team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a finance or administrative role in a busy environment.
• Strong numerical ability and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Customer‑focused approach with effective collaboration skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and comfortable handling a variety of tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using financial systems or payment processing platforms.

What we offer

• Hybrid working (1 day on‑site per week).
• 35.5 hours per week.
• 3‑month fixed‑term contract.
• Rate of £18 per hour.
