Independent Living Support Worker (BSL Qualified) – Fixed-Term

About the role
This fixed‑term position supports young adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs to live independently in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will help them access community activities, develop relationships and achieve personal goals while promoting independence.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meals and hygiene.
- Facilitate community access and participation in social, recreational and vocational activities.
- Support individuals in developing personal relationships and achieving their own goals.
- Promote independence and self‑advocacy through tailored support plans.
Required profile
- BSL Level 1 qualification or higher (essential).
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Passion for supporting people with complex needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Required skills
- British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1.
