Industrial Door Engineer – North East England

About the role

We are seeking an Industrial Door Engineer to join a growing team in the North East of England. The role is field‑based, covering a variety of client sites and offering a competitive hourly rate with overtime opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, fault‑find and maintain industrial doors and related equipment (roller shutters, sectional doors, high‑speed doors, loading bay equipment, dock levellers, manual doors, fire doors, etc.).
• Visit multiple sites across the North East and surrounding areas.
• Work with a range of manufacturers’ products.
• Ensure the overall quality of all work delivered.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with customers.
• Complete tasks efficiently and support team members when required.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Ideally 3+ years’ experience in the industrial door sector (not essential – training provided).
• Willingness to train across single or multiple disciplines.
• Knowledge of various manufacturers.
• Desirable certifications: IPAF, CSCS/ECS, SPA Passport, PASMA, City & Guilds.
• Positive attitude and self‑motivation.
