Industrial Door Engineer – Watford

About the role

We are seeking two experienced Industrial Door Engineers to join a well‑established, growing business in Watford. The role is field‑based, covering installation, service, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of industrial door systems for commercial and industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service and repair industrial door systems, including roller shutters, sectional doors, high‑speed doors and steel doors.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive repair calls.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete digital job sheets and service documentation accurately.
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and office staff.
• Work safely and to a high standard, both independently and as part of the engineering team.
• Participate in a structured on‑call rota scheduled in advance.

Required profile

• Proven experience installing, servicing and repairing industrial door systems.
• Experience with roller shutters, sectional doors, high‑speed doors and steel doors.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• IPAF and PASMA certification.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• DHF qualifications and/or a CSCS Card (advantageous).
