Industrial Engineer – Laundry Equipment

About the role

Elis is seeking a motivated Engineer to join its Knutsford site, supporting the maintenance and improvement of industrial laundry equipment. You will work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, ensuring plant reliability and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out remedial engineering works on industrial laundry machinery as directed by the Engineering Manager.
• Repair equipment safely and within agreed timeframes while keeping production teams informed of progress.
• Record preventive‑maintenance data accurately in the CMMS system.
• Provide technical input for projects, upgrades and training sessions across the group.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing or process environment.
• Engineering Level 3/4 NVQ (or equivalent HND/BTEC apprenticeship).
• Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical trades, with knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.
