Industrials Investment Banking Analyst

About the role

Jefferies Group LLC is seeking an Analyst to join its Industrials Investment Banking team. You will support senior bankers on M&A, leveraged finance, equity and restructuring transactions for industrial sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth quantitative and qualitative analysis of companies, markets and sectors.
• Perform financial valuations using discounted cash flow and multiples‑based methods.
• Build and maintain complex operating and financial models in Excel.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, valuation materials and marketing documents.
• Compile and manage databases, and produce sector market updates.
• Participate in client meetings, calls and the execution of M&A and capital‑market transactions.
• Coordinate with other Jefferies teams on projects and pitches.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or foreign equivalent.
• Relevant experience providing complex analytical support, preferably in M&A or capital markets.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Self‑starter with the ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Strong PowerPoint skills.
• Financial modeling and valuation expertise (DCF, multiples).
• Database management and data compilation.
