Information Security Technical Lead – Hybrid – London

About the role

We are partnering with a leading insurance organisation undergoing a digital transformation to hire an Information Security Technical Lead. Based in London with a hybrid working model, you will own the end‑to‑end security function, shaping strategy and delivering hands‑on engineering across a complex, business‑critical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise security roadmap for core platforms, Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Lead, mentor and grow a team of security engineers.
• Serve as senior escalation point for security incidents, overseeing SIEM/SOAR tooling and response playbooks.
• Implement and optimise controls for PAM, IAM, AD, vulnerability management and network hardening.
• Drive automation, DevSecOps integration and continuous improvement of the security posture.

Required profile

• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 3‑4 years in a lead or senior role.
• Proven track record in security engineering and incident response within SOC environments.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and ability to translate them into practical controls.

Required skills

• SIEM platforms – Sentinel, Splunk, LogRhythm.
• EDR/XDR solutions – Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne.
• Identity and access management – IAM, PAM, Active Directory.
• Vulnerability management tools – Tenable, Pentera.
• Microsoft cloud stack – Azure, Microsoft 365 security.
• Scripting/automation – PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP and modern threat landscapes.
