Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a large international organisation undergoing significant investment in its cloud and infrastructure platforms. The role involves designing, implementing and optimising enterprise‑scale cloud environments that support critical 24/7 business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments
• Building highly available, scalable and secure infrastructure platforms
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code and automation solutions
• Managing cloud networking, security, identity and access management
• Monitoring system performance, availability and reliability
• Supporting disaster recovery, backup and business continuity planning
• Driving security improvements and cloud governance initiatives
• Optimising cloud spend and infrastructure performance
• Producing technical documentation, standards and operational procedures
• Collaborating with infrastructure, operations and security teams on strategic projects

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
• Knowledge of cloud security and governance best practices
• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Good understanding of networking principles including DNS, VPNs and virtual networking
• Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
