Infrastructure Engineer – Crypto Lab

About the role

The Cryptography Lab at Lloyds Banking Group is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to help design, build and operate secret‑management, digital‑certificate and encryption‑key services. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with security, platform and engineering teams to protect data across the bank’s cloud and on‑premises environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support enterprise Secrets, Keys and Certificates (SKC) services across multi‑cloud and on‑premises platforms.
• Deliver secure cryptographic solutions that enable application teams to protect data, identities and transactions.
• Manage the full lifecycle of secrets, encryption keys and digital certificates, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with architects, platform providers and security specialists to embed cryptographic controls into new and existing services.
• Participate in incident response and continuous improvement of cryptographic processes.

Required profile

• Motivated SecDevOps professional with a strong interest in cryptography and security.
• Experience working in hybrid cloud environments (public cloud and on‑premises).
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
