Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and support enterprise‑grade Windows and Linux infrastructure for our business‑critical applications. The role is hybrid, based in Knutsford three days a week, and requires a strong background in systems administration, networking and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux/Unix environments.
• Manage, monitor and optimise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security and performance.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot and support relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and Infrastructure‑as‑Code using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Provide technical support for highly available, scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing enterprise infrastructure on both Windows Server and Linux/Unix platforms.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls and network security.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL and/or NoSQL database administration.
• Ability to work independently in a complex enterprise environment.
