Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Thought Machine is building modern banking technology that runs natively in the cloud. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will help deploy, maintain and automate the infrastructure that powers our core and payments platforms, working closely with engineering and SRE teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support the engineering team in building reliable, scalable applications.
• Design and build tools to make services highly available and automate deployment processes.
• Develop observability and orchestration tooling for customer deployments.
• Contribute to disaster‑recovery, backup and redundancy strategies.
• Improve code quality by creating new tooling and processes.

Required profile

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience developing production‑ready infrastructure tooling.
• Experience with Python or Golang for infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with at least one of: Prometheus/OpenTelemetry/Grafana, Postgres/DuckDB, Kafka, Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
