Ingredients Buyer

About the role

The Ingredients Buyer will join a leading international food manufacturer’s procurement team, managing a diverse portfolio of flavourings, seasonings and additives across multiple sites. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will ensure continuity of supply, drive commercial value and support new product development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement for a broad range of ingredient categories.
• Lead sourcing projects, supplier negotiations and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitoring cost, quality, service and compliance.
• Support new product development and innovation projects.
• Conduct spend analysis and reporting to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Quality and Technical teams to ensure specification and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven procurement or purchasing experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing ingredients, raw materials or similar commodities.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation abilities.
• Good commercial awareness and analytical capability.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills.
