Inspection Engineer – Glasgow

About the role

Speedy is seeking an Inspection Engineer to join its Glasgow customer site team. You will ensure equipment service schedules are current and respond quickly to breakdowns, supporting a wide range of hire tools and plant.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update equipment service schedules.
• Respond to customer breakdowns and provide on‑site repairs.
• Carry out plant repairs, low‑level access work and site inspections.
• Collaborate with the business unit to support the ESG Strategy.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous mechanical engineering experience, preferably in the hire industry or a related engineering field.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
