Installation Engineer – Commercial Ventilation

About the role

Sigma EPD Ltd is seeking an Installation Engineer to take full ownership of commercial ventilation projects across the Central Belt. You will translate CAD designs into on‑site installations, ensure quality and safety, and mentor a Trainee Engineer as the business expands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead installation of commercial ventilation systems, bespoke fan walls and heat‑recovery ventilation (HRV) units.
• Interpret CAD drawings accurately and manage on‑site materials to minimise waste.
• Conduct risk assessments, enforce site safety standards and oversee final quality control and handovers.
• Act as the primary on‑site contact for clients and main contractors, representing Sigma EPD professionally.
• Mentor a Trainee Assistant, supporting their practical evidence collection for SVQ qualifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial/industrial ventilation, ductwork installation and air‑handling systems.
• Experience with commercial kitchen extraction and HRV systems is an advantage.
• Highly motivated, proactive leader who takes initiative and supports team members.
• Demonstrates respect, humility and a strong mentor mindset.
