Installation Engineer – Security Systems (Commissioning Training)

About the role

We are seeking an Installation Engineer to join a well‑established security and fire‑safety company serving commercial and residential clients across the South East. The role is based on a local patch around Stevenage and involves day‑time, door‑to‑door installations with the opportunity to receive training on commissioning and CAD design.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and service a variety of security and fire‑suppression systems for blue‑chip and residential customers.
• Travel within a 50‑mile radius of Stevenage, with door‑to‑door pay for all journeys.
• Support the Service Manager with budgeting, compliance checks and rota organisation.
• Respond to optional call‑out rota and overtime opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and escalation of enquiries or complaints.

Required profile

• Proven experience in service or installation of security or fire‑suppression equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to develop skills in commissioning and CAD design.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a local patch.

• Salary £43,000‑£48,000 per year plus OTE up to £65,000.
