Installation Manager

About the role

Our client, an established UK manufacturing business, is seeking an Installation Manager to lead a territory‑based team of Installation Engineers and subcontractors across the South of England. You will be responsible for ensuring installations are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards while supporting customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, motivate and manage direct labour and subcontractors, providing training and development.
• Monitor installation resources, costs and KPIs to achieve efficiency and lead‑time targets.
• Oversee performance reviews, personal development plans and conduct regular team meetings.
• Ensure all installations comply with quality standards, company policies and industry regulations.
• Manage stock controls, tool and equipment availability for first‑time job success.
• Lead health & safety compliance, completing audits, risk assessments and method statements.
• Represent the company at NIC/EIC electrical compliance assessments.
• Handle client contracts, attend pre‑start/review meetings and resolve customer complaints promptly.

Required profile

• Qualified electrician with a valid 18th Edition certification.
• NVQ Level 3 Electro‑Technical Services qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing installation teams and subcontractors.
• Strong financial and operational management skills.
