Installation Operative

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Installation Operative to join Selwood’s Liverpool branch. The role combines work in the branch yard with on‑site pump installations for customers across the region. You will support the Installations Team in delivering reliable, 24/7 pumping solutions to the water, environmental and construction sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out installations and de‑installations of pumps, pipework and associated equipment under the direction of the Installation Supervisor.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading vehicles, checking paperwork, items, damages and fuel charges.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area on‑site and at the branch yard.
• Collaborate with specialist sub‑contractors to complete projects safely and on schedule.
• Prioritise safety at all times and report any safety concerns to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Physically able to perform manual handling and work on construction sites.
• Previous experience in a similar environment such as water industry, construction, oil or gas.
• Good understanding of on‑site health and safety procedures.
• Ability to adapt to challenging situations and work effectively as part of a team.
