Insurance Account Executive

About the role

Join a respected insurance brokerage in West Sussex as an Insurance Account Executive. You will inherit an established portfolio of commercial clients and focus on delivering strategic insurance advice, retaining relationships and growing the book of business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an existing portfolio of mid‑corporate clients, acting as their trusted adviser.
• Oversee the full renewal cycle, negotiate terms and ensure appropriate cover.
• Identify cross‑selling and upselling opportunities to expand the portfolio.
• Collaborate with insurer partners to source competitive, bespoke solutions.
• Visit client sites to understand business risks and provide tailored advice.
• Resolve client queries promptly while maintaining high service standards.
• Handle credit control and support smooth portfolio administration.

Required profile

• Strong relationship‑building mindset with a focus on long‑term client retention.
• Experience in the insurance sector, either within a broker or insurer environment.
• Proven track record of managing commercial client relationships or a portfolio.
• Knowledge of construction insurance is desirable but not mandatory.
