Insurance Broker – Agricultural

About the role

Premier Insurance, part of the JMG Group, is expanding its agricultural portfolio and seeks an Insurance Broker to join the Consett office. You will convert enquiries into live policies, retain existing customers and drive revenue across personal and agricultural lines.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls and enquiries, provide quotations and close sales.
• Maintain a high conversion rate from enquiry to policy.
• Manage a large caseload while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Build and nurture relationships with clients, insurers and internal teams.
• Support the team with administrative tasks and policy administration.

Required profile

• Previous experience in insurance sales, preferably personal lines or agricultural market.
• Commercial/B2B experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products and FCA compliance.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets in a customer‑focused environment.
• Willingness to work towards or already hold CII Cert C qualification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with insurance IT systems, ideally SSP or Acturis.
• Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage large caseloads efficiently.
