Integrated Service Supervisor – Hotel Services

About the role

The Integrated Service Supervisor – Hotel Services will lead a team responsible for cleaning patient areas, clinical and non‑clinical departments, offices and administration spaces across multiple NHS sites. Based at Kirkintilloch Health Centre, the role combines hands‑on cleaning duties with supervisory responsibilities to ensure compliance with NHS cleanliness standards.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate staff resources and create rotas for cleaning and porter services.
• Supervise and assist staff in daily cleaning tasks, ensuring safe work practices.
• Audit cleaning services and report faults to line management.
• Input payroll information and manage staff absence cover.
• Plan and deliver training, including health and safety and food hygiene standards.
• Handle client complaints and conduct staff performance counselling.
• Maintain required paperwork, self‑assessment and statutory procedures.

Required profile

• Experience supervising cleaning or facilities staff in a healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of NHS national standards for cleanliness, mop laundering and porter services.
• Ability to organise rotas, manage payroll data and conduct audits.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with service users and department leads.
• Commitment to work the part‑time shift of Monday‑Friday 16:30‑20:30.
