Integrated Service Supervisor – Hotel Services

About the role

The Integrated Service Supervisor – Hotel Services will lead a team responsible for cleaning patient areas, clinical and non‑clinical departments, offices and administration spaces within the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde network. Based at Kirkintilloch Health Centre, this part‑time permanent role works a shift from 16:30 to 20:30, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and assist staff in delivering integrated cleaning and porter services to meet NHS national standards.
• Allocate resources, create and manage staff rotas, and arrange cover for absences.
• Audit cleaning services, report faults, and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Input payroll information and maintain accurate paperwork within prescribed timescales.
• Plan and deliver training, counsel staff on performance, and document outcomes.
• Liaise with service users, department leads, and manage client complaints.
• Ensure high standards of personal and general food hygiene and safe use of equipment.

Required profile

• Experience supervising cleaning or facilities staff in a healthcare or similar environment.
• Good knowledge of NHS cleanliness and safety standards.
• Ability to audit services, manage rotas and handle payroll data.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with staff, service users and department managers.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, safe cleaning services.
