Integration Team Lead

About the role

Saab UK’s Seaeye Business Unit is seeking an Integration Team Lead to oversee the assembly, testing and commissioning of its underwater robotics fleet. You will manage a dedicated engineering team, ensure projects meet schedule and quality standards, and act as the primary point of contact for customer commissioning and support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Integration Engineering team through assembly, testing and commissioning of remotely operated vehicles.
• Train and develop team members to integrate sub‑assemblies according to customer specifications and company documentation.
• Support product testing, verify system functionality and manage auxiliary equipment.
• Provide on‑site, offshore and customer‑site commissioning and after‑sales support.
• Direct fault‑finding and repair activities, ensuring proper reporting of issues.
• Process change requests and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interpret engineering designs, electrical drawings and specifications to build and test prototypes.
• Maintain 6S, health‑and‑safety and ethical standards while collaborating with other departments.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in an engineering or integration environment.
• Strong understanding of assembly, testing and commissioning processes for complex mechanical/electrical systems.
• Ability to train, motivate and develop technical staff.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and initiative in addressing day‑to‑day challenges.
• Commitment to health‑and‑safety, 6S practices and ethical conduct.
