Intelligence and Analysis Manager – Children & Families

About the role

We are seeking an Intelligence and Analysis Manager to lead the delivery of insight and performance reporting for Children and Families services. You will shape how data is turned into actionable intelligence that supports national reforms such as Families First and Best Start, and influence decision‑making from frontline teams to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing analytical team delivering analysis, reporting and insight.
• Oversee the production of performance dashboards and intelligence products, primarily using Power BI.
• Ensure statutory data returns for children’s services are accurate, on time and GDPR‑compliant.
• Provide strategic analysis to support service improvement, inspection readiness and risk identification.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to translate trends into actionable recommendations.
• Support major transformation programmes, including system and service changes.

Required profile

• Strong experience in data analysis and performance management within the public sector.
• Proven ability to lead and develop analytical teams.
• Advanced skills in Power BI, Excel or similar performance analysis tools.
• Experience designing user‑friendly, GDPR‑compliant reports and handling Freedom of Information requests.
• Knowledge of predictive analysis, demand management and statutory returns for Children’s Services.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
