Interim Accountant – 12‑Month Contract

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Interim Accountant to join our client’s finance team for a 12‑month period. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will take ownership of day‑to‑day accounting tasks and contribute to strategic financial decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting, payments, reconciliations and VAT processing.
- Prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts and regular financial reports.
- Support month‑end, year‑end and external audit activities.
- Deliver financial analysis and drive process improvements.
Required profile
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong financial and management accounting knowledge.
- Excellent VAT, multi‑currency and Excel expertise.
- Detail‑oriented, proactive and commercially aware.
- Strong communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
- AAT qualification or relevant finance degree is desirable.
