Interim Capital Projects Manager – Fire Remediation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Capital Projects Manager to lead a portfolio of refurbishment, fire safety remediation and compliance works across residential and healthcare properties in West London. The role is contract‑based, running initially until April 2027, and offers the chance to manage diverse capital projects from inception to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver multiple compliance, fire‑remedial and capital works projects on time, safely and within budget.
• Oversee contractors throughout the lifecycle – issue orders, manage variations, chair progress meetings and authorise payments.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality and contractor performance.
• Collaborate with contract administrators, consultants, principal designers and contractors to ensure successful delivery.
• Ensure projects comply with CDM Regulations, Building Regulations and other statutory requirements.
• Review contractor documentation such as RAMS and Construction Phase Plans.
• Monitor budgets, programmes and risks, identifying value‑for‑money opportunities.
• Produce progress reports and maintain strong relationships with residents, housing teams and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering construction, refurbishment, compliance or capital works projects.
• Strong contract management experience, including variations, valuations and performance monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience inspecting works on site and ensuring quality and contractual compliance.
• Good knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM Regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Experience managing project budgets and delivering value for money.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management abilities.
