Interim Finance Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing London business to secure an experienced Interim Finance Manager. This short‑term assignment offers a fully qualified finance professional the chance to own statutory and management reporting during a busy period, making a tangible impact on the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow and commentary.
• Produce year‑end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and review journals, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Deliver variance analysis and insights for senior stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning activities.
• Drive process and control improvements across the finance function.
• Provide oversight and mentoring to junior finance team members as required.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong experience in both statutory reporting and management accounts.
• Background or training with a top‑10 practice is highly beneficial.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, changing environment with tight deadlines.
• Immediate availability or short‑notice start, with a commitment of at least six months.
• Open to interim/contract work, ideal for candidates on a visa seeking short‑term assignments.
