Interim Finance Manager

About the role

We are supporting a well‑established business in Harlow with an 8‑week interim Finance Manager assignment. You will work closely with the Finance Director, providing hands‑on financial support during a busy period.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting and forecasting across the business.
• Provide financial insight and day‑to‑day support to the Finance Director.
• Assist with management reporting and financial analysis.
• Review financial performance, highlighting trends and variances.
• Support month‑end activities as required.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting.
• Liaise with budget holders and operational teams to deliver commercial financial support.
• Undertake ad‑hoc finance projects during the assignment.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) preferred.
• Previous experience as a Finance Manager or in a comparable hands‑on finance role.
• Strong budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and non‑finance colleagues.
• Self‑starter who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
• Excellent Excel proficiency and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Available to start at short notice.
