Interim Finance Manager - Projects

About the role

Grafton Banks Finance is partnering with a fast‑growing PE‑backed services company in Gatwick to appoint an Interim Finance Manager – Projects for up to six months. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead finance improvement initiatives, strengthen controls and build a scalable finance foundation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive Balance Sheet reconciliation framework across all legal entities.
• Produce, investigate and resolve balance sheet reconciliations, posting necessary journal entries.
• Lead the clean‑up of historic Accounts Receivable balances, working with the Senior Credit Controller to allocate legacy transactions, resolve aged balances and manage write‑offs.
• Redesign monthly Trade Debtors and Bad Debt reporting files and document clear process notes.
• Support financial reporting enhancements and drive process‑efficiency projects.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with several years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
