Interim Finance Officer – Managing Agents

About the role
This interim position supports a Kent Housing Association’s Service Charge team, focusing on managing‑agent invoicing. You will ensure invoices are accurately reviewed, queried where necessary and processed efficiently, helping maintain strong supplier and customer relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Review and validate managing‑agent invoices across a large residential portfolio.
- Investigate unusual charges and resolve discrepancies with external managing agents.
- Reconcile costs and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare clear payment instructions for the Accounts Payable team.
- Build productive relationships with managing agents and follow up on outstanding queries.
- Maintain organised records and monitor invoice progress to meet payment deadlines.
Required profile
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable or as a Finance Officer.
- Strong reconciliation and invoice investigation abilities, preferably with managing‑agent invoicing.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident communication with external suppliers to resolve financial queries.
- Experience in social housing is highly desirable.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
