Interim Finance Transformation Consultant

About the role

Join Grant Thornton’s Agile Talent Community as an Interim Finance Transformation Consultant. You will work on a contract basis, choosing projects that suit your expertise and supporting both client organisations and internal teams on short‑to‑medium term assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct finance function assessments and health‑checks.
• Design and implement target operating models (TOM) for finance functions.
• Lead process‑improvement and finance change‑management initiatives.
• Deliver end‑to‑end transformation programmes, including data‑driven reporting enhancements.
• Partner with CFOs and senior stakeholders to drive value and business outcomes.
• Support finance system, ERP and EPM tool optimisation.
• Ensure controls, governance and readiness for scaling finance functions, including IPO preparation where required.

Required profile

• Strong finance background with proven experience in finance transformation.
• Demonstrated ability to design TOMs and perform finance function assessments.
• Track record of delivering analysis, process improvements and change‑management programmes.
• Experience partnering with senior finance leaders and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of controls, governance and scaling finance functions; IPO readiness is a plus.
