Interim Financial Accountant

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established SaaS business operating for over 20 years. The finance team is at the heart of the organisation, and this interim role will support month‑end, financial reporting and technical accounting in a fast‑paced technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own key areas of the month‑end close and financial reporting process
• Prepare and review technical accounting papers and accounting treatments
• Apply IFRS across a range of complex accounting matters
• Provide technical accounting support around IFRS 15 and IFRS 16
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and year‑end reporting
• Work closely with auditors and support the delivery of the audit process
• Review existing accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve controls
• Provide clear analysis and insight to senior finance stakeholders

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Strong technical accounting and IFRS knowledge
• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant
• Strong month‑end, balance‑sheet and financial reporting experience
• Experience within a SaaS or technology business is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and/or IFRS 16
• Comfortable producing technical accounting papers and supporting audit processes
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to tight deadlines
