Interim Financial Controller (3‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing PE‑backed SME for an initial three‑month assignment, with the possibility of extension. The role is primarily remote but requires occasional presence in London.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations for the UK entity and two overseas subsidiaries.
• Manage month‑end close, produce accurate financial statements and reports.
• Coordinate statutory audits and ensure compliance with FRS 102.
• Oversee VAT and other statutory filings across Europe.
• Handle treasury activities, cash forecasting and inter‑company transactions.
• Support the integration of Sage Intacct with Salesforce and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with international teams to enhance reporting cycles.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in controllership or senior finance roles.
• Hands‑on experience with VAT, FRS 102 audits and financial reporting.
• Ability to start immediately and work with minimal handover.
