Interim Financial Controller (Temp-to-Perm)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join a fast‑moving, multi‑entity business on an interim basis, with strong potential to become permanent. The role is hands‑on and requires immediate impact, combining technical finance expertise with a commercial mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of group financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, ensuring accuracy and timeliness under FRS102.
• Lead the consolidation of multiple entities and produce clear monthly and quarterly reporting packs.
• Assess existing processes, identify automation opportunities and implement improvements across reporting, controls and workflows.
• Drive budgeting and forecasting cycles, delivering robust FP&A analysis, variance tracking and scenario modelling.
• Build and enhance financial models, dashboards and performance‑tracking tools to provide actionable insight.
• Strengthen internal controls, monitor key risk indicators and support audit processes.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning and working‑capital optimisation.
• Review and improve financial systems and reporting tools, ensuring data integrity and supporting transformation projects.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Proven experience operating at Financial Controller level, preferably within a multi‑entity environment.
• Strong background in group reporting, consolidation and FP&A.
