Interim Financial Planning Analyst
CDP Global · London
Job description
About the role
Following the carve-out into a new standalone, international PE-backed group, CDP Global is looking for a highly experienced, hands-on Interim Financial Planning Analyst to build the group's financial planning models from the ground up. The role builds integrated P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow models supporting the annual budget, long-range plan, scenario analysis and forecasting, with investor-grade outputs for management, the Board and PE shareholders. It is a 6-month interim position based at the London office, hybrid, at a day rate of £450-550.
Key responsibilities
- Build new integrated P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow models from scratch, reflecting the group's international entities and currencies, with scenarios and project overlays.
- Build the quarterly forecast, annual budget and multi-year long-range plan, covering revenue, headcount, costs, capex, working capital and cash, with overlays and assumptions to investor standard.
- Build flexible scenario and sensitivity modelling around key commercial and operational drivers.
- Produce clear Board and PE investor-grade presentations and outputs.
- Incorporate relevant subscription/SaaS KPIs such as ARR, retention, churn and recurring revenue where appropriate.
- Work with senior stakeholders across the international group to establish and challenge assumptions.
Required profile
- Qualified accountant with at least 5 years' PQE in a private-equity business.
- Must have personally built financial planning models from the ground up, ideally after a carve-out or creation of a standalone international group.
- Experience in a data or information-services business preferred; exposure to SaaS/subscription metrics desirable.
- Hands-on, strong communication skills, commercially minded and comfortable with ambiguity; able to work independently and turn incomplete information into robust models quickly.
- Eligible to work legally in the UK, living within commuting distance of the London office and comfortable with 3 days in the office per week; sponsorship is not possible.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills (essential)
- Financial planning and modelling
