Interim Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst

About the role

Axon Moore Group Ltd is partnering with a well‑established organisation in Leeds to secure an Interim Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst for a six‑month contract. You will join a collaborative finance team, delivering high‑quality planning, budgeting and commercial analysis to support senior decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and report on financial planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Develop dashboards and management reporting packs that translate data into clear financial insights.
• Conduct strategic and ad‑hoc financial analysis to underpin key business initiatives.
• Analyse performance variances, identify trends and explain underlying drivers.
• Partner with senior managers to provide commercial guidance and support business cases, including cost‑benefit and ROI modelling.
• Drive improvements in reporting processes through automation and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in financial planning, reporting or commercial finance.
• Strong analytical ability with a track record of presenting complex financial information clearly.
• Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
