Interim Fire Safety Advisor – 3‑6 Month Contract

About the role

We are supporting a large public sector organisation in Leeds with an Interim Fire Safety Advisor on a 3‑6 month contract. You will provide specialist fire safety expertise across a diverse operational estate, working closely with the Fire Safety Manager and Estates team.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive Fire Risk Assessments across multiple sites.
• Deliver fire safety training to staff and contractors.
• Review and update fire safety policies, procedures and compliance actions.
• Advise senior stakeholders on fire safety legislation, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and HTM guidance.
• Collaborate with external agencies and contractors to promote a positive fire safety culture.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a Fire Safety Advisor or in a similar role within a complex operational environment.
• Recognised fire safety qualification.
• Proven ability to conduct fire risk assessments and deliver statutory compliance advice.
• Strong knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, HTM guidance and related legislation.
• Excellent communication, report writing and stakeholder management skills.
• Immediate availability or a short notice period preferred.
