Interim Group Financial Accountant (9‑Month FTC)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Interim Group Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract. You will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant group financial reporting while helping to improve our reporting processes and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated group financial statements.
• Assist with the group consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
• Ensure financial reporting complies with IFRS/GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Review financial submissions from regional entities for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
• Prepare statutory accounts and meet external financial reporting requirements.
• Support year‑end and interim audit processes, providing documentation and responding to auditor queries.
• Maintain and update group accounting policies, reporting guidance and procedures.
• Analyse financial performance and provide insights to aid business decision‑making.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations to ensure integrity of key accounts.
• Collaborate with finance teams across the organisation to resolve reporting and consolidation issues.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Experience in group accounting, consolidation and statutory reporting.
• Good understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple regional finance teams.
• Comfortable supporting audit processes and responding to queries.
