Interim HR Project Manager & Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join on an interim basis and lead two high‑impact people projects for a fast‑moving organisation in Tonbridge. The role combines change‑management leadership with the rollout of a company‑wide competency framework, reporting directly to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead an organisation‑wide change programme, including restructuring, redundancy consultations, departmental downsizing and potential business area closures.
• Manage consultation processes, prepare documentation and advise senior stakeholders on UK employment law and employee‑relations matters.
• Oversee the implementation of a competency framework: conduct capability assessments, identify skills gaps, develop career pathways and integrate performance‑management processes.
• Provide recommendations on future talent, reward strategies and organisational development initiatives.
• Maintain project governance, timelines and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering HR projects or restructures, preferably in a generalist HR capacity.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice in employee relations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage multiple workstreams.
• Commercially minded, highly organised and comfortable balancing strategic and operational demands.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent experience is advantageous.
