Interim IT M&A Consultant – Technology Deals

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim IT M&A Consultant to join Grant Thornton’s Agile Talent Community. Working on a contract basis, you will support private‑equity and corporate clients across the UK on technology‑focused M&A projects, from pre‑deal due diligence through post‑deal integration.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct IT due diligence and assess technology risks and opportunities for merger and acquisition transactions.
• Develop integration and separation plans, including Day‑1 readiness and post‑merger integration road‑maps.
• Support clients in technology operating model design, infrastructure evaluation and platform selection.
• Assist with TSA negotiations, synergy tracking and value‑creation planning.
• Collaborate with Grant Thornton permanent teams and client stakeholders on short‑ to medium‑term assignments.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience delivering technology consulting for M&A, including post‑merger integration and carve‑outs.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT landscapes and operating model design.
• Ability to work independently as an independent contractor or through a limited company.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to convey complex technical findings to business audiences.
