Interim People Advisor – 12‑month Maternity Cover

About the role

The role provides interim HR support for a Liverpool‑based organisation covering a 12‑month maternity leave. You will act as the trusted HR partner for multiple business areas, delivering practical advice and fostering positive employee outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned business units, offering guidance on employee relations, absence management, performance and recruitment.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice and coaching to managers at all levels.
• Support the delivery of HR initiatives across sites in Liverpool, Warrington and St Helens.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with policies and legislation.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent).
• Strong experience in employee relations.
• Confident advising, coaching and supporting managers.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Proactive, practical approach to HR work.
• Willingness to travel between sites as needed.
