Interim Procurement Manager – Cost Savings Focus

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join an established organisation on an interim basis. The role is strategic and hands‑on, focusing on reviewing current procurement practices, implementing improved processes and delivering cost savings.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess existing procurement processes and supplier management practices.
• Design and implement more efficient procurement procedures and controls.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify savings and value‑improvement opportunities.
• Review supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing requirements.
• Support supplier negotiations to improve commercial outcomes.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and best practice.
• Provide recommendations that create long‑term procurement efficiencies beyond the contract.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or senior procurement professional.
• Experience delivering procurement transformation or implementing new procurement processes.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of cost analysis and measurable savings.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
• Self‑sufficient, proactive and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Available to start immediately or at very short notice.
