Interim Procurement Specialist

About the role

This is a three‑month interim assignment within the Group Procurement & Supplier Management team. The role is delivery‑focused, requiring a hands‑on partner who can quickly embed, add value and operate with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Support and continuously improve the Group’s Procurement & Third‑Party Risk framework, including supplier onboarding, negotiation, renewal and termination.
• Partner with business stakeholders to conduct market research, identify suitable vendors and assist in sourcing activities.
• Manage third‑party risk, ensuring commercial value while protecting the organisation from operational and regulatory exposure.
• Drive supplier consolidation and cost‑saving initiatives in collaboration with Finance.
• Oversee governance frameworks for supplier performance, service delivery and contractual compliance.
• Assist legal teams with supplier contracts and commercial negotiations.
• Develop and maintain procurement guidance materials and promote best‑practice adoption.
• Support risk management across the supply chain, ensuring adherence to internal policy and regulatory expectations.
• Contribute to monthly MI reporting for senior stakeholders and provide updates to senior management on third‑party risk.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions on procurement processes and third‑party onboarding requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, supplier management or third‑party risk within a corporate environment.
• Ability to work independently, embed quickly and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Strong stakeholder‑engagement skills, capable of influencing senior leaders.
• Awareness of regulatory developments affecting vendor risk and procurement practices.
