Interim Tax Manager – Fixed Term Contract

About the role

The Interim Tax Manager (FTC) will lead tax compliance, reporting and advisory activities for a mid‑sized business services organisation. This fixed‑term position is based in Richmond, South East England and supports the company’s tax function throughout the contract period.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UK tax regulations and meet all reporting deadlines.
• Prepare, review and file corporate tax returns and related documentation.
• Provide tax advisory support to internal stakeholders across the business.
• Oversee tax audits and act as the primary liaison with external tax authorities and advisors.
• Identify and implement tax‑saving opportunities and strategic initiatives.
• Support financial reporting by calculating accurate tax provisions.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the organisation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve tax‑related processes.

Required profile

• Professional tax or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory within the business services sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax regulations and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
