Interim Team Leader – Care Home

About the role

This interim position provides day‑to‑day leadership within a busy care home and nursing facility in Aberdeen’s West End. You will ensure that residents receive safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care while supporting the nursing and management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead shifts and supervise care staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Oversee care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management.
• Maintain high standards of resident safety, dignity and wellbeing.
• Support staff development, promote positive working practices and act as a role model.
• Contribute to audits, reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Medication administration training with demonstrated competency.
• Proven experience leading or supporting a care team.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach.
