Interim/Contract Immigration Solicitor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Immigration Solicitor on an interim basis to manage our sponsor licence and immigration compliance across our sites in Manchester, Birmingham and London. The role starts immediately and will run for an initial 3‑6 months with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end sponsor licence management, including the Sponsorship Management System, reporting and audit readiness.
• Advise on Skilled Worker and Health & Care Worker visa applications, extensions and changes of circumstance.
• Conduct right‑to‑work checks and strengthen processes across all regions.
• Prepare for and respond to UKVI compliance visits, audits and enforcement actions.
• Provide expert guidance to HR, recruitment and senior leadership, translating complex immigration rules into practical decisions.
• Identify risks early and develop durable templates, policies and guidance for the team.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor (or Chartered Legal Executive / OISC Level 3 / IAA‑accredited practitioner) with a strong business immigration background.
• Deep, up‑to‑date knowledge of sponsor licensing, the points‑based system and Health & Care Worker / Skilled Worker routes, preferably within health and social care.
• Proven experience handling UKVI compliance and audits.
• Ability to hit the ground running and deliver impact from day one.
