Interior Design Assistant / Project PA (Freelance – Residential Project)

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised, design‑focused Interior Design Assistant / Project PA to support a luxury residential interior design project on a freelance basis. The role is short‑term with the possibility of ongoing collaboration on future projects.

Key responsibilities

• Source materials, finishes, fabrics and soft furnishings aligned with the design direction.
• Create and present samples, mood boards and material options.
• Assist with joinery design details, finishes and technical drawings.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, workshops and trades.
• Place and manage orders, track deliveries and maintain procurement schedules.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
• Organise FF&E schedules, specifications and project documentation.
• Support site visits, installations and overall project coordination.
• Provide general project administration and day‑to‑day design support.

Required profile

• Previous experience in residential interior design.
• Strong knowledge of soft furnishings, finishes, materials and joinery.
• Ability to read and assist with technical drawings and specifications.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communication with suppliers, contractors and clients.
• Full driving licence preferred.
