Interior Designer – Architectural Practice

About the role

We are looking for a creative and detail‑oriented Interior Designer to join an architectural team in Greater London. You will collaborate with architects, project managers and clients to shape functional and visually engaging interior environments for residential, commercial and mixed‑use projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts in partnership with architects and project teams.
• Produce detailed design drawings, mood boards and material specifications.
• Create space plans, layouts and furniture arrangements that align with architectural intent.
• Select materials, finishes, furnishings, lighting and colour schemes.
• Generate 2D drawings and 3D visualisations using industry‑standard software.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and suppliers throughout project delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with building regulations, accessibility standards and client requirements.
• Attend client meetings, design presentations and site visits.
• Support projects from concept through to completion and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of design trends and sustainability practices.

Required profile

• Degree or qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related field.
• Experience designing interiors within an architectural or design practice.
• Proven ability to work across residential and commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of spatial planning, building regulations and brand guidelines.
• Excellent visualisation, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
