Internal Account Manager – Transport & Distribution

About the role

The Internal Account Manager will maintain and grow client relationships within the transport and distribution sector, ensuring high satisfaction and identifying business development opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and nurture an existing portfolio of transport and distribution clients.
• Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities to increase revenue.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client queries, delivering timely solutions.
• Collaborate with the sales team to create tailored proposals and presentations.
• Monitor account profitability and alignment with company goals.
• Prepare regular reports on client activity and performance metrics.
• Stay updated on industry trends to spot new business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate client information in the CRM system.

Required profile

• Proven experience in account management or a related sales role.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑focused with a track record of building lasting relationships.
• Understanding of the transport and distribution industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
